Advertorial
This afternoon, Wowa, Anika and I went to the My Biogenic World Playtime Discoveries at the Activity Center of Market! Market!.
There were a lot of families there who were enjoying the free games and educational activities for the kids.
Anika asked begged if she can go to the bouncy castle agad agad. I had to go around to check out the place so Wowa went with her in the line.
At the My Biogenic World Playtime Discoveries, they also had Art activities…
… free train rides…
… Lego building…
I checked out how Anika and Wowa was and saw na nagmamando na si Wowa dun sa line. Hahaha! Stage lola kasi yan. Tingnan niyo naman. She had Anika on a tight grip with one hand, holding Anika’s bag and sneakers on the other hand all the while talking to the guy how things should be done. Lol.
After Anika bounced and played for 5 minutes inside the bouncy castle, she went and tried the other activities as well. Nice because there were bottle of Biogenic alcohol in every activity place for the kids to disinfect their hands after playing.
A little after 2:30 pm, we gathered in front of the stage to listen to the speakers that day: Ms. Carmela Delos Santos, Ms. Frances Amper-Sales and Ms. Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio. These mommies talked about different topic that are very “relate-able” to parents especially to all mothers out there.
Ms. Carmela Joy Delos Santos talked about Raising Happy and Confident Children.
Here are her tips that that I took note of:
- You have to affirm your child. They have to know and feel that you love them. You can do this by telling them that you make them proud. Or you can also do this by acknowledging how your kids feel. We should remember that affirmation is more of a big deal or has more valuable impact if the kids hear it from their parents.
- Remember that words have creative power so be careful on what you say to your children.
- Give meaningful praise. Overpraising can do more harm than good. Eto yung mga konting kibot lang, “That’s excellent!” ang peg natin. Some parents focus on the end point or goal like grades. We should pay more attention on the effort of the child and emphasize on the process going to the goal. If kids focus on grades alone, they will be less competitive and sila yung mga batang ayaw mahirapan later on in their lives. They will not accept difficult task so this is really important.
- Focus on your child if you want them to be happy. Do not compare them to other kids. Parenting is not a competition. Let’s remember that.
- Lastly, we should keep our kids clean and healthy all the time. Happy and confident kids are not sickly. Mahirap na din if laging may sakit yung bata.
This is where Biogenic alcohol comes in.
We have alcohol in every corner of our house. We want it to be readily accessible for Anika so we are sure that her hands are clean all the time. Hindi mo kasi alam san san hinawak niya yan then she’s not that conscious pa naman where she touches face with her hands. Scary so our Biogenic alcohol really helps us with this. Lalo na ngayon, super uso yung flu and other viruses. Best to be sure that we are all always clean.
Thank you so much Nikki Tiu for inviting us! Catch her tomorrow at 3:30pm. She will be talking about “A Busy Mom’s Guide to Bond With Your Kids.”. My other friend Jackie Go and celebrity mom Danica Sotto-Pingris will be also talking about other mom topics that I am very sure you will be interested in.
My Biogenic World Playtime Discoveries will still be at the Activity Center of Market! Market! tomorrow from 11am to 10pm. Bring the family and the kids! You guys will have so much fun while learning a lot from the guest speakers =)
