Minsan before I go to sleep, I wonder “Until when kaya ako pwedeng magsuot ng pekpek shorts?”.

Top: H&M; Shorts: AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS; Shoes: NEW BALANCE; Bag: LOUIS VUITTON NEVERFULL; Sunglasses: RAYBAN (borrowed from Wowa)
I came home with a 38.2 degree fever last night.
ALVIN: Exercise ka kasi ng exercise eh.
ME: Wala yun dun.
This morning my fever was at 38.8 degrees. Hindi na ako pinapasok ni Alvin sa office.
ALVIN: Exercise ka kasi ng exercise eh.
ME: Wala nga yun dun!
I mean seriously, who gets sick exercising? Exercising should be healthy for you right? I just caught a bug and I’m dieting at the same time kaya humina resistensya ko. That’s it.
ME: Try mo kaya Babe magexercise?
ALVIN: Sino sa atin ang nageexercise? Sino ngayon ang may sakit?!
Hindi ka talaga mananalo sa taong eto!
For real.
Anyway, I told you before that I already found a tutor for Anika. She was a pretty girl in her early twenties who was taking up her Masters in Australia.
ME: Really? But why are you not there in Australia.
TUTOR: Oh, I just fly to Australia if I have to attend a class. Mostly kasi online na po yung lessons and submissions of work.
Soshal.
Her rate was very expensive at Php 1,500 per hour. Pinatulan ko lang because Anika missed 3 weeks of school and her Mastery Tests were coming up.
In short, I was desperate.
Now that her first Mastery Tests are over, I didn’t call back the tutor anymore. Sabi ko kasi I won’t eat or drink at Starbucks anymore so I can afford her.
Hindi ko pala kaya wag magStarbucks especially now that the holidays are coming. Ang sarap ng Toffee Nut Latte. Eh this season lang siya available.
Nevertheless, Php 1,500 is very expensive for me. Hindi naman kami mayaman and hindi naman hard core na tutor ang kailangan. Anika is intelligent and smart. Hindi mo naman talaga masyadong eeffortan. We just need somebody who can come and teach her during exams week. Nahihirapan na din talaga kasi ako.
Luckily, the other day, just before I got sick, Alvin found a tutor. She’s a little older than me. She’s very nice and she teaches Grade 6 subjects in one of the public schools here. Anika was able to try her yesterday and I like her. Siya yung tipong motherly na mapagkakatiwalaan mo.
The best part is that her rate is Php 3,000 a month for an hour everyday (except weekends). Winner, di ba? I grabbed her na. She can teach Anika everyday! Imagine! I can go home and not be stressed anymore na kailangan ko pang turuan si Anika ng hardcore! Ubos na ubos na kasi ako guys pag-uwi ko eh.
I love this new set up that we have now.
Kanina, Faye messaged me. I asked her kasi to look for a tutor for Anika last week. I wasn’t able to tell her that I found a tutor na. Faye said that she found Anika a tutor. Galing sa mga co-teacher connections niya. Boy daw and he’s originally from Ireland tapos naka-tira sa Amsterdam. He’s half Filipino, half European and he graduated in Amsterdam with a course of BS Physical Education and Biology. He’s currently staying in Paranaque for a month and he needs racket daw. He can tutor Anika at Php 500 an hour. Her friend sent me a photo of the guy. You know naman how nice ang outcome pagnalahian tayo ng puti right.
Ang pogi nung bata!!!
Ang lakas maka-Tita, I swear!
I ran to Alvin.
ME (showing him the photo): Babe, may nahanap na tutor si Faye! Ang gwapo! Php 500 per hour! Ako na bahala!
Alvin looked at me then went back to his guitar.
ALVIN: Ayoko diyan.
Ang sungit much?!
Hahahahaha!
It’s okay though. I am happy with our tutor now. So weird nga eh. I don’t remember having a tutor when I was still studying. As in never. Ako mag-isa yung nag-aaral lang.
Wala kasi sigurong Viber group ng co-parents kasi dati.
In Anika’s class, we have very active parents who viber every day the contents of the diary and all the things that were done that day by the students. Super nice kasi they take photos and send it to the viber group. So around 4pm, I receive na a copy of what’s written in Anika’s school diary. Alam ko na mga homeworks. So nung wala pang tutor, 4pm pa lang, stressed na stressed na ako. I can see na I need to teach Anika pa a lot of things when I go home! Hahahaha! Nakakaloka talaga.
I am just happy we finally found a tutor for Anika. Ang goal ko lang naman is maka-establish si Anika ng good study habits eh. After niya, siya na mag-isa. I don’t like her to rely on tutors. I want her to be able to study by herself.
How about you mommies? May mga tutor ang kids niyo?
