One place we went to in Toronto was Centre Island.
Centre Island is a 242 plus hectares of parkland off the shore of downtown Toronto. It has an amusement park, restaurants, beach, lake, picnic areas, pools and lots and lots of green space where the kids can run around.
To go to the island, you will have to ride a ferry at the Toronto Island Ferry.

It’s just a 15 minute ride lang naman but it can get really cold in the boat!
We began our pictorial as soon as we got out of the boat. It was so nice there. It was indeed a huge park with lots of trees and green grass. Anika was literally running around and around.
This is my adorable nephew =)
We started walking into the island more. It was beautiful wherever I looked. The photos do not do it justice.

There is an amusement park inside this park. It’s called Centreville Amusement Park.
“The Centreville Amusement Park is a children’s amusement park located on Centre Island, part of the Toronto Islands, offshore of the city of Toroto in the Canadian province of Ontario. The park was built in 1967 with a 1900 turn-of-the-century theme, and includes a miniature railway.“
This amusement park opened in 1967. It replaced the old Sunnyside Amusement Park (closed in 1955) and the Hanlan’s Point Amusement Park (closed in 1930s). It is open daily during summer. There is no entrance fee but you need to get tickets for the rides. There is a corresponding number of tickets per kid per ride.
It’s like a mini town inside the amusement park.
The Park is home to a 1907-vintage carousel, a log flume, a Ferris wheel, a ‘haunted barrel works’, an enclosed “Scrambler”, a miniature roller caster, pleasure swan boats, bumper boats, antique-style motor cars and several kiddie rides, such as the tea cups, a swing boat, drop ride and miniature fire engines. There are several food concessions, some games and a gift shop. There is also a wading pool, pony rides and miniature golf.
There are a lot of lakes and animals.
Anika had to play the mini golf of course!
The carousel was indeed antique. It goes back to the year 1907. As in panahon pa ng mga lolo and lola pa natin ito.
The details in this carousel were really extraordinary. The paintings and carvings were very detailed.
The Ferris Wheel was also vintage. It’s dressed up as a windmill. It gives you a view of the whole island when you are at the top.
After we have used up all our tickets, we hung out by this lake for a while to rest. It was a pretty sight. Ang lakas maka-relax talaga.
There were picnic tables so you can bring food and eat there. Pwede din mag-ihaw kasi may mga ihawan.
I forgot lang the time but may last trip kasi yung ferry back to Toronto. We left the island around 530pm.
This is the view of Toronto from the boat.
Naabutan pa namin ang sunset.
We had the nicest time at Centre Island. We will be sure to check out the other rides, Far Enough Farm, beach (may nude beach din daw dun) and the Franklin Children’s Garden.
Thank you so much to Alvin’s cousins for taking us there. Sana may ganyan din dito sa Pilipinas.
Para naman sana may puntahan ang mga bata where they can run and play. Para din hindi sila tutok sa gadgets nila all the freaking time!
