Cafe Fleur In Pampanga Is LOVE

There’s a restaurant in Pampanga that’s called Cafe Fleur.

Yeah. Cool, right?

Of course, I wanted to dine there badly. I wanted to eat there because (1) validosa kasi ako, feeling ko it’s my restaurant haha and (2) I read a lot of good reviews about the food. It helped also that the restaurant is owned by Chef Sau del Rosario (a Kapangpangan) of M Cafe in Greenbelt.

Promising.

To be honest, at first, I forgot that Cafe Fleur is in Pampanga. I asked Toots saan masarap kumain ng dinner. He asked his friends and they recommended 25 Seeds and Cafe Fleur, both owned by Chef Sau. The moment I heard Cafe Fleur, I told everyone that we were eating there. I called the restaurant and made the reservations. Dun na. Walang kokontra because wish come true ko yun!

We all freshened up and took Toots’ pick up to Cafe Fleur.

Cafe Fleur is 30 minutes away from Widus Hotel in Clark.

I got more excited when I saw that the restaurant itself had a rustic feel. Malamang rustic feel kasi parang bahay ni Lola ang datingan.

f5

They hung around for a bit while I was busy taking photos of myself by the Cafe Fleur signage.

I love this photo of Alvin and Anika

We were ushered to the second floor where the main dining hall was located.

I love the personalized touch that they made on our table.

f7

The restaurant gave off a provincial vibe with the antique looking chandeliers, wooden tables and chairs, hand painted wall murals, paintings and the old school window shutters.

Eto na. I was so excited to order.

They said that one of the best selling appetizers was the Tamales Pampanguena. Hindi ko siya kilala so pass ako. I ordered the Tinapa Truffle Mouse instead.

f12

OMG. I am not exaggerating but, hands down, this is the best palaman everrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! It was so good, I wanted to cry. I can say na ang taba ng utak ni Chef Sau. Who would have thought that tinapa mixed with, cream cheese kaya yun?, and truffle oil will be the best thing ever?!

I asked our waiter if they sell the Tinapa Truffle Mousse by the jar. Hindi daw but pwede daw take out.

Wowa and LT ordered the Crispy Okoy and Shrimps.

f13

I don’t eat Okoy so I wasn’t able to taste that. LT and Wowa were happy naman so I guess masarap siya.

I also ordered the Pinoy Ceasar.

f14

Pinoy Ceasar is just like a normal Ceasar Salad but this one has Smoked Tinapa Flakes and Salted Egg. Again, it’s sooooo good! I think maalat siya for normal people kasi I love how malasa it it. Eh mahilig ako sa maalat =D And yeah, the flowers were edible. I know because I ate one piece and I’m still alive now.

Toots ordered the Pork Belly with Truffled Macadamia Kare-Kare.

f15

The only Kare Kare that I eat is the one that my Mother-In-Law cooks. Pero eto mga bakla, lumalaban sa kare kare ni Ka Lydia! Ang sarap, hanep. I didn’t eat the crispy pork. Si Toots and Alvin ang nag-fiesta diyan. I ate the sauce. OMG, the sauce! I cannot even explain how delicious it was! It’s made of Macadamia nuts so matamis tamis plus nilagyan din ng Truffle Oil so I wanted to marry it na talaga.

And now for the desserts.

I told myself that when I eat at Cafe Fleur, I will definitely order the Salted Egg Bibinka Cheesecake.

f16

The Bibinka Cheesecake was amazing and weird at the same time. It was really like eating Bibinka. It’s good too but nothing prepared me for the Pandan Sansrival.

f17

Eto I’m not kidding ha but umikot talaga ang eyeballs ko when I first tasted it. It’s chewy, sweet but not that sweet and the pandan was a hit. Napaka-sarap!!!

They also have a bakery where they sell their cakes and bottled goodies. Gosh, I hope they sell the Tinapa Truffle Mousse commercially!

I highly recommend Cafe Fleur, guys. Food is great. Pinag-isipan talaga. There is a sense of anticipation before your dish arrives on your table and before you take that first bite =)
