The Hague is a city in Netherlands where you can find the seat of the cabinet of the Netherlands, the States general, the Supreme Court and the Council of State. This is the city where you can find most of the foreign embassies and many international organizations including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
In short, ang busy and important ng city na ito in The Netherlands.
Wala naman masyadong ganap here except that ang sasarap tingnan nung mga structures there especially dun sa Binnenhof. Binnenhof is a large complex which serves as a meeting place of several political groups. It was constructed in 1200 making it the oldest parliament building being used in the world. When you’re inside the complex, kung hindi ka masyadong naninigas sa lamig like me, you will marvel how nice the old architecture was dati.

Inside the Binnenhof complex, you will find the Ridderzaal. It is the central focal point of the Binnenhof. This building is being used as a place where the Dutch parliament is opened by the Prime Minister.
It is also in The Hague where you can find the Schevinengen seaside resort. This is only beach I have ever been to in The Netherlands. All the photos below are from my cousin-in-law, Yul Pitallano.
It was really cold here. I would love to come back with Anika when the weather is much warmer. Ang fine ng sand. it’s not white like in Boracay pero ang fine niya. Ang sarap magemote dito. Masarap din magholding hands while walking.
Along the shore, you can find restaurants and bars. Masarap tumabay dito. I remember Papa taking us here in one of the bars to watch Pinoy bands. Ang gagaling nila.
Side kwento lang.
In 2006, Papa and I went to The Hague from Amsterdam. It’s a one and a half hour drive. One the way drive, Papa let me drive because sleepy siya. He fell asleep sa biyahe. Kinabahan ako ng slight because wala pang Waze nun. But you know, nagising si Papa nasa Amstelveen na kami. Malapit na kami sa house. Galing noh? I was able to drive ourselves home because the road signs were very easy to follow. Pang dummies talaga. Malayo pa, they will tell you na malapit na yung mga exits. Galing. No need for Waze or Google Maps. Yun lang, I don’t know how many speeding tickets Papa got because of me. Hehe. Ang daming camera kasi eh and sa sarap magdrive, hindi mo namamalayan 140 kph na pala speed mo!
When you go in Schevinengen pala during summer days, ang daming naka-topless. Young and oldies, walang mga bikini tops. Keber sila sa world! Nakakatuwa din especially hindi tayo sanay makakita ng ganun right?
