Umpisahan na natin ang pagbayad ko ng mga utang kong kwento since last year.
Lolo Papa came home early. The best news is that he has finally retired from his job in Amsterdam and will be staying in the Philippines until May.
ME: Until May ka po dito? Di ba pupunta kami sa Amsterdam sa May?
PAPA: Pupunta kayo sa Amsterdam sa May?
Deadz. Lelz.
We’ll work things out.
Faye, Isabel, Toots, Wowa spent Christmas Eve with us in our house.
Hindi ako nagover acting sa handa. Alvin cooked chicken. Toots brought isang damakmak na barbeque and Wowa brought cold cuts. I made a cheese platter and used the smoked cheese from California Milk.
The next day, we went to Alvin’s house to visit my in-laws.
The day after, we went to Matabungkay Beach Resort again for an overnight stay. We passed by Taal Vista muna for photos.
I chose Matabungkay Beach Resort (again!) because sila na lang yung pinakamaganda na resort in Batangas na hindi fully booked. Last minute na naman kasi ako nagbook. Okay naman because it wasn’t that crowded.
I cannot remember the last time I went to the beach trip with Papa so happy ako we were all able to go together.
The next day, Papa requested if we can eat Maliputok for lunch. Sa Taal lang daw meron nun. I googled where we can eat it and Taal Bayview Bistro came up.
Maliputok is a fish that can only be found in Taal lake. That time ko lang nalaman yan. Akala ko Tawilis lang ang meron sa Taal. This is how the place looks like. Maganda siya and pwede siyang wedding reception venue.
We ordered the Maliputok and their seafood platter.
After that, Papa requested again to see this big church in Taal. Pagbigyan ang turista. Hahaha!
We went to Taal Basilica which is also knows as Basilica de San Martin de Tours. It’s the biggest church in Asia. Waddaya know?! The biggest church in Asia pala is here in the Philippines. It’s located in the middle of the old heritage town of Taal. I love old churches and this church is beautiful.
Since it was the first time we went there, we made our three wishes =) Do you believe in that saying too?
Afterwards, on our way back to Manila, we stopped by the side streets in Taal where they were selling balisongs. Taal is the balisong capital of the world.
The men had fun picking out different kinds of balisongs. Akala mo may zombie apocalypse na padating.
Ang Toots, samurai pa ang binili. Nakakatuwa.
So there. It was a good holiday trip to Batangas because we were able to go to a lot of places. Ang tagal ko na gustong pumunta dun sa Taal Basilica na yun. Next time, I want to stay longer at the Taal heritage town. I wanna go inside and see the old mansions. When I was googling it, I saw that they have tours pala. Next time siguro =)
So there. One kwento down and so many more to go! =)
