I told you I’m cooking something up. Here it is.
Well, it’s only just a thought muna ha? Instead of doing a Mommy Fleur Day, would you guys be interested in a Mommy Fleur meet up instead?
Hindi siya formal formalan. We can meet somewhere and magchikahan over good food =D Okay ba yun? If yes, I’ll tell you about this perfect place where we can do that.
A few months ago, I met with Janice (of Mommy Mundo) and Michelle (of My Mom Friday) kasi it’s been ages since we last saw each other. Janice recommended The Grid at Powerplant in Rockwell.
The Grid is located at the 3rd floor of the expansion wing of the Powerplant mall in Rockwell. It is spacious. There are a lot of tables and chairs that we can pull together pagmadami tayo. It’s maaliwalas. Soshal but hindi intimidating. It’s actually a food hall where they serve, I promise, flavorful and mouthwatering dishes.
Best of all, hindi bawal mag-ingay and we can stay as long as we want! You know what that means, right? Ang dami nating pwedeng pagkwentuhan! I have to tell you about the food too. Emergerd mga bakla. You know how I love good food, right? I’m telling you, madaming masasarap na pagkain dito sa The Grid.
First on my list is the LA CHINESCA.
La Chinesca serves Mexican cuisine. You should try all their tacos and tostadas! I tried the following:
Tuna Tostada (Chipotle mayo, salsa fresca, lime, Maggi, orange, onion, peanuts) priced at Php 135/pc)
Carnitas (Achiote pork confit, roasted pineapple, bean puree, pickled onion, chicharron, cilantro) priced at Php 130/taco
Lamb Barbacoa (Lamb ribs, sasame leaf, feta, pickled eggplant, pickled onion, cilantro) priced at Php 200/taco
Camaroncito (Shrimp, mozzarella, potato strings, pickled onion, sesame leaf) priced at Php 150/pc

On your left is the Chicharron while on your right is the Carnitas
I can finish 3 pieces of tacos but I’m really matakaw like that.
My next favorite is the BUN APPETIT.
I love their Lobster Roll. Mahalia nga lang at Php 695 but sulit siya for me kasi, naka-himay na yung lobster! Lelz. You should try also their Grilled Corn at Php 170. Mahilig si Pineda sa corn so I am betting she will like this dish too.
For the drinks, you can buy them from EDSA BDG. You can’t miss it because they’re smack in the middle of The Grid.
This is the Sangria Passion Fruit Soda (Php 160) and men, I think this is the best soda I’ve ever had in my life. It was soooo refreshing! Try ordering also the Strawberry Green Tea Peanut Natural Soda (Php 160) because ang sarap din niya.
Next for dessert, you go to WORKSHOP BY LE PETIT FOUFFLE.
Have the Strawberry 7-Layer cake kasi heller, 7 layers talaga siya ng cake and strawberry! It costs like Php 295 per slice. Good for sharing naman siya, muthers.
And of course, I think it will be a sin if you will not order the Basque Cheese Cake (Php 245).
I cannot find the words that can describe how delicious and creamy this cheese cake is. Naluluha ako, just thinking of it. I’m not kidding. I’m just looking at that photo and I want to really cry. No sweets kasi ako for a month eh and it’s my 5th day. When we meet up, kakain talaga ako niyan!
Here’s Janice and Michelle with me when we met. I love that I have friends who enjoy good food.
Because nagustuhan ko at The Grid, I asked Wowa and the rest of my family to have lunch there.
Anika had this fries and mashed potatoes at that stall that sells burgers. Hindi biro ang twister fries nila and ang smooth and creamy ng mashed potato!
Alvin tried the Lechon Porchetta at LE CHON by HAPPY ONGPAUCO-TIU.
This is the Lechon Porchetta priced at Php 365.
Sobrang. Sarap. Niya. Swear.
Ay ito hindi binebenta. Super cute na cute na bata lang!
This was us na busog na busog =)
So what do you think, guys? Okay ba sa inyo to meet up at The Grid? We can have morning snack or brunch depends on your appetite. You have the liberty kasi of ordering from wherever food stalls there. Kahit saan, masarap. We can meet on a Saturday or Sunday in March tapos maaga like the moment the mall opens at 10am para wala pa masyadong tao.
Please let me know by commenting below who’s in. Kahit 5 lang tayo, push na natin. I’ll post the exact date on March by next week. Let me know!!! I’m so excited!
