I had a very productive Saturday. Ang aga namin nagstart gumalaw.
Alvin and Anika went to the pedia clinic so that Anika can update her booster shots. Meanwhile, I had to go to my OBGyn for my follow up check up. I was early so I asked Tin if there was a nearby coffee shop in Makati Medical Center na may electrical sockets for the laptop. I’ll start on my reports. There’s a Tim Horton daw. Yiz! My favorite! I Google’d it and if you guys what to know, it’s located in Legaspi street corner Dela Rosa. You just have to get out at the back entrance of the hospital and walk to your left along Dela Rosa. Go straight then after the intersection, you’ll see it na. I love it! I love the French Vanilla coffee. I always pair it with the Ham and Cheese croissant.
Anyway, wala akong napala sa reports because it’s very difficult to do it ng kulang kulang ang data. Also, after I ate, I had to go na to the clinic for my appointment.
When I had my miscarriage, my doctor was telling me to take this medicine call Methergine (methylergonovine maleate). Malambot pa daw kasi my uterus kaya I’m bleeding. This medication is used after childbirth to help stop bleeding from the uterus. However, it’s out of stock in ALL MERCURY DRUG STORES! It’s also unavailable in the hospital pharmacy. Kaloka di ba? So I wasn’t able to drink it and I just waited when my bleeding will stop.
Eh yun na nga, after all these weeks, I’m still moderately bleeding. It’s weird.
My OBGyn said that I should drink that medicine. He asked his secretary to talk to the hospital pharmacy. Wala daw sila. Nainis ata siya because he cannot believe that the medicine is unavailable. Take note, my doctor is a highly respective ob-gyn. He’s a former president of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) and the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS). And I know he’s good. Wala pang ultrasound, kapa kapa pa lang, he knew I was pregnant na and had miscarriage. He just had all the tests done for back up information na lang.
Anyway, I don’t know what he said but I was able to buy from them the medicine pero iba lang ang brand. Same na methylergonovine maleate pero hindi Methergine yung brand. It doesn’t matter for me as long as the bleeding will stop na. Isang buwan na ako may menstruation eh. Heller. Ay, hindi naman pala one month. It stopped for a week and started again so mga 3 weeks pa lang.
The doctor also told me to do a CBC test because I’ve been bleeding for so long. Ayun na nga. My hemoglobin result is low and so is my RBC count. I told nga may friends sana fats na lang yung lumalabas sa akin. Kahit 1 year pa siya, okay lang. Charot.
But I’m okay. Nothing’s painful. Para lang talaga ako meron.
So after the doctor, I met with Wowa in Greenbelt. I have not seen her since she visited me when I had my miscarriage.
Yung nanay ko parang kapatid ko lang eh no?
Kaloka yang taong yan. She’s so busy nowadays. She’s the president kasi of their alumni batch so punong abala ang lola niyo sa mga activities.
WOWA: Ewan ko nga paano ako naging presidente eh! Sinabi lang nila na presidente ako. I woke up like this tapos presidente na ako.
ME: Ano?
WOWA: Oo! I woke up like this. President na ako.
Hahahahahaha!
I went home na after that. I napped for 3 hours. I don’t know if you can still call that napping. Lelz. Alvin left for a basketball game. Sabi ko spend time na lang kami pagbalik niya. Eh when I woke up from my nap, they’re going daw to the bar after. Anika and I didn’t have anything to do so we went with Toots and Russ na lang to the Big Bad Wolf.
Grabe mga bakla. We arrived at the World Trade Center at around 10:30pm. Ang daming tao! We parked in front of the Wensha Spa and walked all the way to the venue.
No entrance fee. Pagpasok namin, wild. May pila just to get carts. Yesterday was their 2nd day pa lang ano? Anyway, we separate ways. Anika and I had fun going around and getting the books we wanted. After a while, nakasakay na si Anika sa cart kasi napapagod na. Around 12midnight, we went to the back to sort out our haul. At around 12:30am, we fell in line na for the cashier.
Ibang klase ang pila to pay for the books!!!! It snaked all around the floor area of the World Trade Center! No wonder a lot of people left na lang their carts full of books! That’s one tip. Russ didn’t go from one aisle after another to find books. Nandun lang siya sa mga abandoned carts. Ang dami niyang nakuhang nice books!
Around 1am, I asked Toots if we can stay in his pick up na lang because Anika’s really sleepy na. Unlike me, she didn’t take a nap the whole day. Ang bait naman nung dalawang magjowa. Sila na yung pumila and nagbitbit ng lahat ng books afterwards.
You know what time they finished paying?!
Halos 3am!
It took them almost 2 and a half hours! Exage talaga!
Hindi ko naman inakala na ganun. When I went to the Big Bad Wolf last year, I arrived before 7pm. After going around, derecho cashier na. Walang pila. Pero mga 3 days na lang ata tapos na yung sale. So I guess, mas maraming tao pagstart pa lang.
I think, the best time to go is around 4am na… Feeling ko talaga…
We got home around 4am because we ate pa because Toots and Russ were so hungry. The Korean restaurant that I frequent along Macapagal is open for 24 hours pala. Fantasic!
Tuwang tuwa naman ang Anika. She was able to sleep while Toots and Russ were paying so may energy pa siya to eat. She was happy also with her book haul.
This is mine =)
Our total bill was Php 4,200. Take note, Anika and I got a lot of hard bound books! The other books that I got are the big ones pa despite being paperbacks. I feel that it’s very sulit na. The hard bound books retailed for Php 200-250. Yung mga soft bound, around Php 150 lang. I got Isabel some books too! Sulit talaga.
Sad lang ako ng slight because I wasn’t able to find books about the British royalty. Gusto ko kasi mag collect nun eh. I want to buy books about Queen Elizabeth, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and sina Prince Harry and Meg.
Pagmay nakita kayo, pabili ako ha? I shall pay you back!
Lemme see also your book haul!
