Do you guys remember the restaurant Icebergs nung mga bata pa tayo?
Buhay pa pala siya now.
Back in 1986, they were the first ones to serve halo halo that the ingredients are on top of the shaved ice. Halo halo restaurant sila dati and now became a full scale casual dining restuarant.
I was able to eat there with my officemates recently. Meron kasing Icebergs malapit in one of our sites. I thought before they only serve ice cream. Hindi pala. And the food they serve are masarap ha?
Their Sisig (priced at Php 198) looked delicious (and very sinful haha!).
Someone ordered the Tenderloin Salpicao (priced at Php 258). I tried it and it’s as good as the Salpicao of Dulcinea.
They also have Arroz Ala Cubana (priced at Php 228). It has savory ground beef with fried bananas topped with fried egg.
The Mexican Tacos (priced at Php 118 for a piece) was so-so lang daw.
They also have Salisbury Steak (priced at 198).
And this is what I ordered: their Shrimp Gambas (priced at Php 298)! Ang sarap sarap men!!!
Kilala niyo naman ako basta shimps and/or mushrooms, gorabelles ako! But this is good. The shrimps were fat and kulang ang isang rice. Hehehe.
I wanna go back here and eat with Alvin and Anika. Oh, I wanna bring Faye too because we’ll order the giant ice cream sundaes.. EACH! Hahahaha! If there is one thing that Faye and I cannot say no to, it’s definitely ice cream!
We shall order these two next time. Akin siguro yung Godzilla and kay Faye yung King Kong hahaha! That will be our prize after our 30 day challenge!
Here are some of the branches of Icebergs.
Next time, gusto niyo ba magkita kita tayo dun sa Icebergs at Harbour Square? Chikahan while lumalantak ng ice cream! Wooohooo!
Magjogging na lang tayo dun sa may breakwater after.
Charot =D
