This is the kdrama that I researched pa talaga where to watch because I couldn’t find it anywhere. Tiynaga ko siya sa Viu and because my PLDT internet connection at home is too slow, patigil tigil siya.
I wanted to watch City Hunter because this was the kdrama where Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young became a couple after shooting the series. Nagexpect ako sa sweetness level and kakiligan.
City Hunter a very political TV series. The story was about a guy who wanted to take revenge on the death of his supposedly father. However, amidst the corruption and all, ang gusto niyang revenge is parang i-out lang yung mga politicians na salbahe. He wants them to be jailed. This is unlike his pseudo-father, na nagpalaki sa kanya, na ang gusto in violent ways ang paghihiganti. Hence, the conflict. Enter the lead actress who becomes the bodyguard of one of his targets. He falls in love with her pero madami baggage si boy kaya hindi ma-push ang romance. May twist sa dulo pero hindi ganun ka fantastic.
Honestly, hindi ako masyadong natuwa. Do not expect kilig scenes because halos kaka-kurampot. There are a lot of action scenes though. No chance kiligin talaga because the guy doesn’t treat the girl well because he doesn’t want to fall in love with her kasi may mission nga ang boy. Pero like niya si girl, ha? Itong girl naman, ubod ng martyr! Pinagtatabuyan na siya all throughout the series pero nandiyan pa din. Basted si girl lagi kay boy. Hindi nakakatuwa.
The cast was so-so also. Nobody stood out except the uncle who Lee Min Ho saved at the first part of the series. Naging faithful companion niya. Nakakatuwa siya ng slight.
Fast paced naman yung story but everything was centered on the revenge. Wala masyadong airtime maglandian yung dalawang leads. Try no panoorin baka ako lang ang may feelings na ganito because like I said, nagexpect ako from Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young
