For the past weeks, Anika has been complaining that her upper tooth was hurting. Sinilip ko and I saw a small hole. I asked our family dentist but unfortunately, next year pa siya magaaccept ng clients.
And then I remembered Dentista, Inc. We pass by their clinic at The Link Ayala Center in Makati whenever we go to our hairdresser Rexcie at Cocograce Salon. I called them up and asked for an appointment.
Madali lang. We just had to answer the health form beforehand. We were instructed to come on time.
When we arrived, the people at Dentista, Inc were all in PPEs. They called me and Anika in. Pinag-PPE din si Anika.
Since Anika needs me to be with her inside, I had to wear complete PPE also. It costs Php 500 and disposable siya. I had to cut them before disposing of them. Para sigurado siguro na hindi siya marere-use. They also gave me a big transparent trash bag where I can put all our things like my bag.
Anika’s dentist was Dra. Prissy Dimacali. She was super duper nice. Anika was really nervous when she sat on the dentist chair but Dra. Prissy was very kind and reassuring. Even when we were on our way home, Anika kept on talking about how she liked Dra. Prissy.
Dra. Prissy checked the tooth that was aching. May butas. May cavity nga daw. She cleaned it. Natakot si Anika kasi first time niya magkaroon ng cavity. I saw tumutulo yung luha niya. Dra. Prissy calmed her down while I held her hand. Dra. Prissy recommended to have the tooth x-rayed because parang ang lalim daw. So Anika experienced her first ever tooth xray that day.
While waiting for the xray results, Dra. Prissy taught Anika how to properly brush her teeth. Dapat pala after brushing, hindi iririnse off para yung flouride will stay sa teeth.
Dra Prissy consulted this also with the orthodontist who was there. I said sige pero next time na siguro kasi hindi prepared ang emotions ni Anika sa pagbunot ng tooth niya that day. They put pasta na lang muna. Ngayon, it’s not hurting na daw anymore. Anika agreed to have the tooth taken out so I’m just waiting for a date when a pedia dentist will become available.
This is Dra. Prissy Dimacali. Look for her, she is really nice. She explained everything to Anika and me as she went about her work on Anika’s tooth. She made sure Anika understood what was happening to calm her nerves. I saw na she was explaining each dentistry tool to her and what it does. She also explained to Anika what she will feel whenever may gagawin siya sa tooth niya. Galing. She was very patient. I highly recommend her.
Nagulat ako kasi our bill was not that expensive. I was expecting exage kasi nasa The Link yung clinic. We paid Php 1,600 included na dun ang pasta, xray and PPE ni Anika. There was just an additional fee of Php 500 for my PPE.
And yun nga, they gave me scissors so I can destroy my and Anika’s PPE. It was relaxing hahaha!
After that, we went to High Street at BGC. I wanted to check it out kasi they allow kids na daw. High Street is an open space so I figured okay naman dalahin si Anika.
When we got there, napakadaming bata nga. A lot were dining in restaurants too. We ate at Friday’s. Pwede magdine in ang bata sa loob. Social distancing was practiced. Halos lahat ng tables have kids.
We just checked out Hobbes and Landes to get Covi a new leash and to check if may Malfoy bubble head. We got a leash pero walang bubble head. I also got her Jamba Juice because she has been craving for it for the longest time. Afterwards, we went back na to the car to go home.
I’m not sure why they are allowing na kids at High Street. Ang alam ko 15 and above lang ang pwede but there were kids of all ages there. May mga infants pa nga. Kung ganun lang ka-dami ang tao at High Street, I feel that it’s safe to bring Anika (and Isabel) there again. Dun lang sila magtatatakbo sa open space complete with mask and face shield. I read somewhere that they are allowing na kids also in malls.
So that’s how our Sunday went =) If you’re asking where Alvin was, he stayed at home. Hehe.
