In case you haven’t noticed it yet, I love eating out. I love discovering different restaurants and eating different kinds of food. I get kilig when I see well presented food being brought to the table. Gusto ko tikman agad agad if they taste as good as they look. If siguro dalaga pa ako, I will be a food blogger. Food blogger na puros “delicious” and “not delicious” lang ang description sa mga pagkain. Hahaha! Yan ang mahirap sa food blogger. They should have a storage of a lot of descriptive words for food! Challenging yan for me so please bear with me now because I wanna show you three restaurants that I have tried.
On my way home, I always pass by the Taqueria 101 restaurant at Betterliving Subdivision in Paranaque. Pineda was the one who introduced me to this restaurant. It’s a perfect and convenient meeting place for me and Pineda.
I have been there twice and Pineda and I order different dishes all the time para we can taste all the food in their menu.
This is their Taco Salad, Php 270. Hindi siya ganun ka fantastic.
Pineda’s favorite is the Elote, Php 180. I like this too albeit being too spicy for me.
This is the Taqueria 101 Burger, Php 300. It’s so big so you can share it with somebody otherwise you’ll be umay. Pineda said it tastes good.
When we were there, they were giving out free House Blend Iced Tea to customers who post their food in IG. This was my entry…
… and this one too! But no matter how hard I try, Pineda’s IG photo entries still look better than mine. Innate na kasi sa kanya ang kumuha ng beautiful photos.
This is their Smoked Bacon Quesadilla, Php 290. This is one of my favorites in their menu. I was able to finish everything ‘coz I’m matakaw like that.
I tried their Churro Popcorn, Php 160. It’s soooo delicious! I love desserts kaya okay na okay ito sa akin. I wanna try their Churro S’mores next time.
Pineda also was the one who ordered this parang Nacho Lasagna. It was really good daw kasi hindi tinipid sa beef and sa pasta. She wasn’t able to finish all because it was so heavy to the tummy.
The next restaurant is Mad Mark’s in Kapitolyo, Pasig.
Their bestseller daw is the Millionaire’s Steak, Php 550.
Sa totoo lang, I want to say it was fantastic kasi five hundred plus pesos talaga siya eh. Sadly, it was just so-so. Nalunod yung steak sa sauce. I wish they just separated the sauce and veggies from the steak. Ang gulo tingnan eh and naging soggy-soggy everything. I’m not saying it’s bad. What I’m saying is hindi siya sulit for the Php 550 price.
However, they made bawi naman with their Honest Ice Cream, Php 95. I do not remember the flavors I got but I remember the ice creams being smooth and totally good! Hindi siya masakit sa throat kainin kasi swabe. I love it!
Lastly, I like dining at Crisostomo restaurant. I rarely like eating Filipino dishes in restaurants. Para sa akin kasi, pinaka-masarap pa din na Filipino food ay yung mga luto nina Wowa, LT and Ka Lydia at home. But, I do enjoy the Filipino dishes at Crisostomo.
I remember that time, Anika was so hungry already so we ordered appetizers. This is Bolas de Fuego, Php 255. Pinashoshal lang nila yung tawag sa combination ng fish balls and squid balls. Nakuha nila yung taste ng sauce ng naglalako ng fishball sa streets.
We ordered the Tinapa and Salted Egg Rice, Php 265. OMG winner ito. I can eat this na ito lang because of the salted egg and tinapa.
We also ordered the Don Juan, Php 350, which was just this very malasang grilled “Liempo” with boiled Okra and bagoong.
And of course, I ordered their Protacio’s Pride, Php 345. Protacio’s Pride is a dish of baked New Zealand mussels with Garlic and Cheese. Sobra sarap, guys! The mussels are fat! I finished everything by myself =)
