Dress: PEPPERMINT; Denim Jacket: MANGO KIDS; Sneakers: VANS

Anika is so payat. She’s so thin, nakakaworry na. But then again, when I analyze it, patpatin din talaga kaming dalawa ni Alvin when we were kids. Therefore, wala talagang paghuhugutan ng katabaan etong batang ito.

We consulted her pedia about this. He said it was okay as long as Anika’s not sickly (thank God hindi naman) and she’s active.

Yes, she’s active. She’s active and she’s so madaldal. Baka malakas maka-burn ng calories ang pagkadaldal. Maybe that’s the reason why she’s thin.

Kaso sa daldal ko, bakit hindi ako payat?

Maybe it only applies to kids.

Lelz.

Anyway, I think one of the real reason why Anika is thin is because she doesn’t eat a lot at home. It takes her two hours to eat, if you want her to finish her food unsupervised. So since two weeks ago, every meal time together, I patiently feed her until she finishes everything that I put on her plate. Ang tagaaaaaaal pero kailangan eh otherwise she will not eat everything.

To make these meal time more fun, we play the questing and answer game while eating.

Anika loves this game.

I ask her random questions and she answers it. Matutuwa kayo sa pagka-innocent ng mga sagot niya. Ang honest din eh and it’s a great way to know your kids better. You will be able to find out how your kids think and how they feel about certain things.

Here are some of our question and answer exchanges:

ME: What do Nanay always say to you.
ANIKA: Eat na! Sleep na!

True. Hahaha!

ME: What do you think makes Nanay happy?
ANIKA: Me loving you!

ME: What do you think makes Nanay sad”
ANIKA: When I’m not eating well.

ME: What is Nanay’s favorite thing to do?
ANIKA: Going to the mall.
ME: What is Tatay’s favorite thing to do?
ANIKA: Spending time at home with us.
ME: What is your favorite thing to do?
ANIKA: Spending time just the three of us. And staying home and watching movies with you and Tatay.

ME: Name one thing that scares you?
ANIKA: You! When you’re mad.

ME: What do you want to be when you grow up?
ANIKA: To be a teacher. No, a firefighter. No, a teacher. Yes, definitely a teacher.

ME: If there are aliens that would come to your classroom and will take two people, who do you want them to take?
ANIKA (thinking hard): I don’t really want them to take anybody but if they must take somebody, they can take (boy’s name) and (girl’s name).
ME: Why?!
ANIKA: (boy’s name) keeps on standing up and (girl’s name) keeps on talking to him and they both make it hard for me to keep the class quiet.

ME: What do you think Heaven looks like?
ANIKA: I think it looks just like here but always with light. And God will be there with Jesus. Do you wanna see heaven Nanay?
ME: Yes, but not now. Maybe when you have kids already.

ME: If you can keep just one thing in your room, what will that be?
ANIKA: Awww.. just one thing?
ME: Yes.
ANIKA: Ummm… My tab and my stuffed toys.
ME: No, just one.
ANIKA: But that is soooo hard! Okay. Maybe just Ooh-Ooh-Ah-Ah (her stuffed monkey)

ME: What makes you angry?
ANIKA: Shouting. I don’t like people shouting at me (looks pointedly at me). Oh and noisy classmates.

Eto ang the best:

ME: If you have three wishes, what will they be?
ANIKA: That’s easy! I wish for a baby brother, my family to be safe and everybody to be happy!

Pang Miss Universe ang answer, sey niyo? =)

I never taught her that so I feel a bit relieved because somehow, maayos din pala ang pagpapalaki ko sa anak ko despite my everyday ngarag-ness and ka-busyhan.
