It’s that time of the year again when kids put on their United Nations costumes and join the parade in school.
Almost every year since Anika started school, LT makes her costumes. LT has been making my and Faye’s extra-curricular clothes since we were kids.
This is what LT made for Anika this year.
ME: So Anika, you’re Spain this year?
ANIKA: It’s Spanish, Nanay.
Sorry nemen.
LT brought the dress to our house last Wednesday. Super gusto ni Anika. She didn’t want to take it off. She only took it off because her yaya told her na babaho yung dress.
She was really looking forward to the UN Parade today. Assuming ang lola niyo na isasama siya sa parade kahit na ang sinabi is that the school will just choose 10 representatives per class lang.
However, last night, they called me to tell me Anika has low grade fever. Patay, sabi ko. Ang parade the next day!
I talked to Anika.
ME: Sweetheart, you have fever daw. Paano yan? Tomorrow yung UN day niyo.
ANIKA: No, Nanay! I’m okay! I don’t feel hot! Sayang ang costume ko!
We gave her paracetamol. Nawala naman her fever last night.
Kaso lang, she had a 38.7 degree fever when she woke up this morning!
I told her that she can’t go to school. Umiyak. Umiyak ng umiyak. She wants daw to wear her dress.
Naawa ako mga bakla.
She was really excited for this day
We are worried because since we came back from Canada, halos every week siya may lagnat. Hindi din matanggal her cough and colds. Grabe pa naman paginuubo siya. Pumuputok talaga.
She was really nakaka-awa so I took a leave off work. Samahan ko siya and I will bring her to the pedia today. Nakaka-worry din kasi.
Why are most kids sick nowadays?
So eto siya this morning. She was so sad.
Now naman, we are waiting for our Uber car. I started booking for an Uber car two hours ago! It was so difficult. Coding kasi ako and wala nang window time.
Kamote.
Anyway, please do pray for Anika that she gets well soon. Sayang naman the very long weekend di ba?
Hope everyone’s well and looking forward to the next four days!
