One of my many wishes is to be invited to a Mothers Who Brunch event.
Mothers Who Brunch is made up of these two beautiful moms who like to cook and have a nice time over food and conversations. When I say beautiful, as in maganda talaga silang dalawa and they are super nice a.k.a. “beautiful inside and out”. When I say naman that they like to have a nice time over food and conversations, that means both of them are really great cooking yummy dishes in the kitchen and when you talk to them, you will feel that you can talk to them for hours and hours and hours! Chikahan levelz!!!
These fab moms are Michelle of Momma N Manila and Sabrina of Sinfully Sabrina.
They organize these intimate events where they share their recipes, have cooking demo or just, you know, spend time together talking about pretty much everything under the sun over a glass of wine.
It’s like a mommy day-off =)
I was super happy because Michelle and Sab messaged me one day. Invited daw ako to their Holiday Gathering at Crate and Barrel.
Food + Crate and Barrel = EMERGERD!!!
I wanted to dress up for the event kaso I had bruises in my legs. Baka sabihin nila battered wife ako. I dressed down instead. Hehehe.

Top: UNIQLO; Jeans: AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS; Shoes: NINE WEST; Bag: BALENCIAGA; Necklace: PIESA
Cai and I were the first few girls to arrive at Crate and Barrel. Then event corner was decorated in a festive way.
Most of the photos are from the official photographer that day.
Here are all the food. Don’t you worry because I will tell you where you can order all these. Tamang tama, potluck and get togethers tayo ngayong holidays.
This is a cake from The Flour Girl. Her cakes look pretty and I tasted the one below and it was soooooo good!
How pretty is this cake di ba? Parang ganito ang gusto kong cake at the Mommy Fleur Day! I know it tastes delicious too because some moms that were there ate it and they were raving about how good it was.
She also made some strawberry cupcakes. Anika and I really liked it. Gusto ko pa sana kumuha ng kumuha eh. Nahiya lang ako ako.
Sab and Michelle made these appetizers. Gagayahin ko sila sa pasko =D
These skewered olives and anchovies were my favorite. Those Crate and Barrel skewers are on sale by the way!
Chorizo porchetta from Manila Belly.
Beef Salpicao from Manam Comfort Filipino. You can order this or any of their potluck dishes in their menu. This Beef Salpicao was tender and very malasa. It was my favorite dish that day.
Another Manam Comfort Filipino potluck dish that was present was this Aliuge Butter Tiger Prawns! Manam now has new potluck dishes sizes. You can order these prawns in XL sizes which can actually serve 10 to 12 pax =)
This is Nawwty‘s Crab Fat Paella and OMG, you all have to try this!
This Holiday Gathering event was all about good food, potluck dishes ideas to bring, pretty homeware and presents!
Here’s Anika with some of the Hampergifts gift boxes. I will tell you more about them in a separate post.
At around half past 10 o’ clock, Sab and Mish started the flow of events.
These are the pretty mommies who were there at the event. Sabi ko sa inyo ang gaganda nila eh.
Mish and Sab taught us how to make fruity Bellinis.
Yuh. We had Bellinis so early in the morning and I love it! =)
Sab and Mish then asked us to introduce ourselves and to share what our favorite potluck dishes to bring to get togethers. Nagbond na kami agad agad while sharing. Some of us said that they do not know how to cook but were experts at ordering. Natawa talaga ako eh. I can super relate kasi. I told them that I can probably be able to build them a dog house or a waiting shed but I seriously do not know how to cook. I told them that prefer bringing Lia’s Avocado cheese cake to get togethers because it’s always a hit.
I wish I took down notes. Ang dami nilang suggestions and they told us about their tried and tested suppliers.
And then, Sab and Mish started to teach us how to make Sangrias. They made two kinds: the red and white one.
I like the taste of the white Sangria better. It’s very easy to make. Gagawa ako nito sa New year =) Check out also the pretty stemmed glasses and glass pitcher of Crate and Barrel.
I wannet.
While having wine, the Parenting Emporium gave us a talk about family.
And then Sheila Catilo also gave a talk on how to nicely capture family photos.
After nun, eating time na.
I was surprised because Anika ate a lot. She liked the Paella!
After all the eating and chika, we had a game.
No, I ‘m wasn’t taking home the cake (though I thought about that too! Lol). The game was to make a table setting with a particular holiday in mind. We were assigned New Year so that was the New Year’s Day cake. The prize will be given by Crate and Barrel so everyone moved their butts!
This is Anika and I with our groupmates Chessy, Cai and Frances.
The Thanksgiving table won =)
After awarding the winners, Mish asked if we wanted to have a slice of the cake. I raised my hand immediately! I thought they will never ask!
It was really so good!
The best part of that day was seeing some of my online mommy friends again. I seldom attend events because I became picky in choosing what events to go to because of my hectic schedule. That is why I don’t get to see these girls in person often. I loved how we were able to get to get together and catch up. Sulit!
Of course a group picture of all the attendees and sponsors was in order.
Thank you so much Mish and Sab for having Anika and me. We had so much fun and I learned a lot! =)
