Me And My Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

Naloka ako ng slight when I heard about the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicles) lanes in EDSA.

At first I thought gagayahin nila yung sa Amerika. There are specific lanes where cars with passenger can use. Bawal dun ang mga drivers only cars. These HOV lanes are mas maluwag and faster ang trip. Yun yung magiging benefit if you use the HOV lanes.

However, hindi pala ganyan gagawin sa EDSA. Buong EDSA, bawal ang cars without passengers during rush hours!

Patay na talaga ako.

You see, I heavily rely on Waze in going around Metro Manila. Lagpas Buendia, wala na akong alam. Eh kamusta naman the locations of our different projects? We have projects in Quezon City, Pasig, Las Pinas, Paranaque and Manila. When I do my site visits, I rely on Waze to take me to one project to another. As in yung mga dinadaanan namin, hindi ko talaga alam. So if Waze points me to EDSA and rush hour, deadz na ako ‘coz I don’t know how to go without Waze’s guidance.

Buti na lang hindi siya tuloy. Hinold daw ng Senate or something? Tama ba?

I hope they’ll think about it more before they implement it. Wala na bang ibang solusyon sa traffic? What about fixing the current public transport system? Nakaconcentrate kasi sila sa paggawa ng trains and roads, I feel that nobody’s looking into centralizing the public transport system. I mean, if other countries can do it, bakit tayo hindi? Tiyak luluwag ang EDSA if bawasan yung mga bus on the road who are zigzagging in all lanes like there’s no tomorrow. We need to discipline the jeepney drivers too who stop in the middle of the road to let off passengers. Nakakadagdag talaga sila sa traffic.

And traffic in Manila is horrible.

If you are following me in Instagram (@mommyfleur) and watch my IG stories, nakita niyo gaano ako kabatong bato yesterday in my car. Traffic was bad. But thanks to the QUESTIONS button in the IG stories, time flew while I was stuck driving from Amang Rodriguez to Taguig for almost 2 hours. Makakagawa na sana ako ng movie sa tagal ko dun. Hahahaha!

Anyway, like I said, my face was so itchy and mahapdi. More than a week na siya ganyan. I have rashes and my skin is flaking so bad. Hindi ko na keri so I went to see a dermatologist yesterday at lunchtime.

I went to see a skin doctor at Luminisce in BGC.

For a first time client, the staff of Luminisce were really friendly and pleasant in a not over acting way. They asked me if I’d like to sit down and asked if I wanted water, tea or coffee. I had to wait for a bit because I was early for my appointment.

Wait, you might ask, why I chose to go to Luminsce to have my face treated? Well, for months now, I have been meaning to go there to have their Luxury facial. I’ve read good reviews about it but I couldn’t find time lang talaga. When I started having these rashes and itchiness sa fez, I asked my amigas sino dermatologists nila. One of them recommended Luminisce. Sabi ko, destiny na siguro ito so dun ako pumunta.

Their clinic is very pretty and serene. Nakakarelax talaga. Parang nakakahiyang mag-ingay, ganun.

While I was waiting for the doctor, they made me fill out these forms. The questions were very thorough. Pati mental health, inaalam nila.

When the dermatologist arrived, they led me to this smaller room. I sat on the bed and the dermatologist analyzed my face.

I told her how itchy my face was. The last time I had this na sobrang kati talaga was in Canada. The weather was dry kasi eh. Pero after I applied Physiogel on my face, nawala naman after a few days. This time, hindi siya nawala, emergerd.

The doctor said I have Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. The cause is not clear pero because I have very dry skin, it can be triggered daw by stress (siyempre) and low immune system. It’s not hereditary, thank God.

The doctor said that she will be giving me Rocimus (ointment for immunologically mediated skin diseases) to be applied thinly to the affected areas and Oillan Restorative Cream, a cream for dry skin, irritated and itchy skin which is very gentle, it can even be used on babies. She also gave me 2 antihistamine medicines that I have to drink twice a day. Meaning, ang groggy ko for the next two weeks. I’ll be drinking 1 anti histamine in the morning, my Xanor during lunch time and 2 anti histamines at night. Hahahaha!

The doctor also suggested I do the UltraRevitale and Skin Oxyglow. Hindi ko maintindihan ano mga yan so I looked it up now in their website.

UltraRevitale: Cleanse, nourish and reveal healthier skin through ultrasound technology. Using a state-ofthe-art ultrasonic device, UltraRevitale efficiently targets problem areas by penetrating deep into the skin, slowly fading fine lines and bringing back smoother and tighter skin.

Skin Oxyglow: This treatment infuses oxygen and hydrating nutrients deep into cells that immediately rejuvenates the skin by improving blood circulation while encouraging collagen production to protect the skin from the harsh environment.

The treatment took around 20 minutes lang. After nun, okay na daw ako to go.

While I was walking towards the cashier, I passed by a set of mirrors. Nagulat ako when I looked at myself! Pakshet, bigla kaming nagka-hawig ni Marian Rivera! Hahahaha!

Kidding aside, I was surprised how good my skin looked! Partida, I didn’t have any make up on! Galing. It’s so addicting! I am planning now to go back to have more treatments after mawala nitong mga rashes ko.

I paid around Php 4,500 for the treatment and the ointments. The consultation was free of charge. It’s free when you get a treatment from them. The Ultra Revitale was Php 1,500. The meds are expensive. The Rocimus is Php 1,130 while the Oillan cream is Php 700. I purchased their sunblock so I can try it and Php 1,230 siya. I got the tinted one kasi hindi na daw needed magfoundation if you apply it. True enough, I used it today, maganda yung sunblock nila. Face powder na lang, kasi matte yung finish ng sunblock. Maganda nagset yung powder. My antibiotics were around Php 1,200.

I will try their Luxury Facial (Php 2500) next time I go. And then their IV Gluta (Php 3,000) in my third visit. O di ba naka-plan na? I now have a new motivation not to buy Starbucks everyday. Imagine spending Php 300 on breakfast? If I don’t buy, I can save Php 1,500 for one week! Pwede nang pang dagdag sa beautification project ko. O di ba? Parang barangay project lang.

Like this o..

Beautification project, I love it! Hahahaha!

After my visit to the dermatologist, I ate a quick lunch at SLICE before going to another project visit. Ganyan talaga if may work. Isisingit at isisingit mo ano ang pwede paglunch break.

If you are at SLICE restaurant, you might want to try my favorites there:

The Lychee Taho drink (it sounds weird pero masarap, promise)

I wanted to go Muay Thai right after eating sa dami ng nakain ko! But grabe, the food was so good!

Update today: My skin looks better. I applied the ointment, cream and the sunblock. Tama si Ate girl. Hindi na need magfoundation. Face powder na lang after, ganda ng set ng makeup. There are still rashes. They will subside daw after 4 days pa. The itchiness is tolerable because of the anti histamine. Hopefully, dere-derecho na ang pagdisappear nila.

Have a great weekend, guys!
