Day 40 of the Enhanced Community Quarantine
Welcome to the ECQ Season 2.
The enhanced community quarantine is extended to May 15. It was announced yesterday morning. Wala naman tayo magagawa but sumunod and hope that the curve will flatten na. Like I said before, nonsense to lift the quarantine if we can’t do the mass testing yet. Dapat regardless if you have symptoms or none, i-test tayo lahat so everybody who’s positive will isolate themselves until they get better. Otherwise, if magpakawala tayong lahat sa labas without testing, there is a big probability of a second wave.
Ayaw natin yan.
Anyway, summer is indeed here because it’s so damn hot! I take a bath 3x a day! Kamusta naman our water bill after all these?! Alvin also takes a bath more often now. When he goes out to run errands, wala siya actually choice but to bathe when he gets home. When he’s home naman, ligo ng ligo pa din kasi super init. I heard from him nga something I would never thought would come from him: “Babe, naubos ko na shampoo natin kahapon! Bakit wala nang shampoo sa banyo?”
Hindi siya pala-shampoo before. Madalang. Ngayon madalas. Kakaiba.

What I like nowadays is that Alvin and Anika bond through different activities. Tatay-Anika moments nila yun. I let them be. I don’t make epal anymore.
Actually kaya ko naman magbutingting ng motor also. Kaya ko din umakyat ng bubong and magsibak ng branches like what they did the other day. Kaya ko din gumawa ng campfire. I can sleep inside the tent. Ateng, I can even cook a dish without using any utensils tapos iihawin mo sa ilalim ng lupa. Kaya ko magtuhog ng raw egg tapos iihawin.
Girl scout kasi ako from Grade 1 to 4th year High School. Nagja-jamboree din ako dun. We even won first place among other schools in pabilisan magluto ng rice gamit campfire. Ako gumawa ng campfire kung san siya lulutuin. San ka pa.
Pero with Alvin and Anika, I pretend that I’m not an outdoor person. Kunwari maarte ako and “it’s not my thing”. Kunwari I don’t want to “get down and get dirty”. Give ko na kasi ang mga activities na yan to Alvin so that they can have their own special time together. These are the activities that Anika will remember doing specifically lang with her Tatay. Special bonding moments nila yan that she will treasure and look back to when she’s older.
Whenever they talk about camping for real, like in the mountains, I always hear them talk about paano daw ako. I will not survive it daw. I will freak out if I would pee and poop anywhere. Well, tama naman sila dun sa peeing and pooping part pero keribelles ko yan. I just let them think that way. I have my moments naman with Anika as well.
I like that when shopping ang paguusapan and malling, ako ang naiisip niya kasama. Pagkwentuhan ang peg, kami yan ni Anika. My most favorite activity na kami lang is yung chismisan before going to sleep. It would take us a lot of time before we can sleep dahil sa kadaldalan naming dalawa. It came to a point that we would laugh about it na.
ME: Tulog na tayo Anika. 12 o’ clock na o. Kanina pa tayo nagkukwentuhan.
ANIKA: Okay.
After 30 seconds…
ME: Pero you know I remember this story, promise last kwento ko na talaga!
Hahahahahaha!
She’s like that too. Never ending sabihan ng “Tulog na tayo!” tapos yung isa may ikukwento na naman.
Good times.
Before I end this post, I have to say that I’m lucky that Anika has a dad like Alvin. Alvin is matiyaga and he makes sure may mga activities sila ni Anika together =)
